Under the patronage of the President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yassiri, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Ali Hassan Ali Murad, a workshop was held at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, under the slogan “From Mesopotamia… Ideas Take Flight.” The workshop, titled “Chemical Structures of Organic Compounds in Dental Anesthesia,” was presented by Dr. Durar Kamel Jabbar as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week festival.

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the types of chemical compounds used in anesthetics, their structures (which are often amide or ester derivatives and are hydrophilic), and their mechanisms of action. Examples include lidocaine, mepivacaine, and articaine.
