Dr. Asmaa Abdul-Amir Abis, Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at Al-Qadisiyah University, represented the university in her capacity as head of the Internationalization and International Projects Team at Al-Qadisiyah University, at the ministerial workshop on Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE). She was accompanied by Mr. Ahmed Rahim Rishan from the Scientific Affairs Department and a member of the Internationalization and International Projects Team.

The workshop, organized by the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in cooperation with the European Union Delegation to Iraq, was held at the University of Kufa. It included participation from several public and private universities in the central region, as part of the European Union’s initiative to support higher education in Iraq. The workshop focused on introducing the application procedures for Erasmus+ programs, building institutional capacity, enhancing opportunities for international academic cooperation, and developing the research and administrative skills of educational institutions.

The workshop also discussed introductory topics related to application requirements, project preparation mechanisms, and admission criteria, in addition to reviewing several successful experiences in this field. Al-Qadisiyah University participated in presenting the idea of ​​a capacity-building project, which was well received by representatives of the Ministry and Erasmus programs. Work will be done to make the project idea a success and present it in an integrated manner during the coming months.
