A master’s thesis at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, discussed the impact of improving mass transfer coefficients on antibiotic production.

The Chemical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, discussed the Master’s thesis entitled “Improving Mass Transfer Coefficients for Antibiotic Production Using a Continuous Mixing Reactor” by researcher Duaa Hamed Radhi, supervised by Professor Dr. Saleh Abdul-Jabbar Saleh. The research aimed to study the impact of improving the oxygen mass transfer coefficient during the fermentation process for antibiotic production on yield. The study also confirmed that improving oxygen solubility via the mass transfer coefficient plays a crucial role in the accumulation of secondary metabolites, in addition to improving yield and reducing production costs.
