The College of Arts at Al-Qadisiyah University held a workshop entitled “Money Laundering: Concept, Methods, Means, and Detection Mechanisms – Cryptocurrency Mining as a Case Study.” The workshop featured presentations by Senior Political Advisor Tariq Kadhim Jawad and Lieutenant Colonel Karrar Ali Mahmoud, and was moderated by Professor Dr. Haider Habib Hamza.

The workshop aimed to define the crime of money laundering, explain its concept, and outline the criminal methods used to commit this type of crime. It focused on its latest form: money laundering in the digital sphere through cryptocurrencies, and the role of the Directorate for Combating Organized Crime in addressing it.
