Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Mishal Salem, a lecturer at the College of Dentistry at Al-Qadisiyah University, contributed to the publication of a joint scientific paper in the Punjab University Journal of Zoology, which is indexed in Scopus. The paper is titled “Association of Diagnostic Adenovirus F40/4 with Diarrhea in Children in Diwaniyah City: A Case Study.”

The research identified adenovirus F40/41 as a major cause of diarrhea in children under five years of age in Diwaniyah City using both rapid testing and real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). This provides valuable local data and highlights the importance of molecular diagnostics in early detection.
