Al-Qadisiyah University participated in the second Riyada Initiative Conference and Exhibition, held at the Baghdad International Fairgrounds in the capital, under the patronage and attendance of Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.
During the opening ceremony, the Prime Minister declared March 4th a national day to celebrate entrepreneurship. The aim is to consolidate the concept of Riyada within an institutional framework adopted by the state’s approach to supporting the private sector and providing the quality opportunities the initiative offers to youth. He praised the efforts of the entities responsible for and supporting its success.
Professor Karar Tha’ban Khashan, Head of the Riyada Division and Riyada Center Trainer in the Science and Technology Parks Department, represented Al-Qadisiyah University at the conference.
The university’s participation comes within the framework of its interest in supporting ambitious youth and empowering them to transform their ideas into promising entrepreneurial projects that contribute to job creation and economic development, in line with the state’s efforts to stimulate the private sector.
It is worth noting that Al-Qadisiyah University has three specialized centers for training youth and graduates. To date, it has organized 30 training courses that have resulted in innovative entrepreneurial projects that have contributed to developing youth capabilities and preparing them for the labor market.
