A lecturer from the College of Education for Girls at Al-Qadisiyah University publishes a scientific paper in a prestigious international journal included in the Scopus database.
Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Karim and Nas Al-Sharifi published a scientific research paper entitled “Coefficient Estimates and Symmetry Analysis for Certain Families of Biaval Functions Defined by the q-Bernoulli Polynomial” in the international journal Symmetry, Volume 17, Issue 9, 2025. The journal is listed in the Scopus database in the first quartile (Q1) with a CiteScore of 5.3 and in Clarivate databases with an Impact Factor of 2.2. The journal is published by the Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute (MDPI).
The research addresses the definition of new families of bivalent functions related to the Bazilevič and pseudo-G functions based on the q-Bernoulli polynomial. The focus is on deriving upper-order estimates of the initial coefficients in the Taylor-MacLaurin series for these functions, along with a Fekete–Szegö inequality formulation for these new families.
The research also includes a presentation of special cases and mathematical applications. It demonstrates the theoretical impact of the obtained results in expanding the study of bivalent functions within the framework of complex analysis and functional geometry.
These results constitute a qualitative addition that contributes to the development of the fields of complex analysis and applied mathematics.
