In compliance with the policy and methodology adopted in the field of scientific research, and in accordance with the timings set within its academic program, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announces that the Iraqi universities’ researches published within global Scopus index has increased to more than seventy-two thousand and six hundred research.
In the context of these indicators that enhance Iraq’s position in the international ranking, the portal of scientific journals (Scimago Journal: & Country Rank) (https://www.scimagojr.com/countryrank.php?year=2020) has shown that Iraq occupies the position 45th worldwide, 6th within the Middle East, and third in the Arab world as regards publishing scientific researches in various disciplines.
Given the close connection between global publishing and the reputation of universities, the Iraqi scientific research index consolidates the span of competition that our Iraqi universities occupy in international rankings and confirms the accomplishment of their mission to improve the quality of education and develop academic performance.
