The dissertation, titled “A Comparative Study of the Therapeutic Role of the Alcoholic and Nano-Extracts of *Portulaca oleracea* and the Drug *Glimepiride* in Male Rats Induced with Type 2 Diabetes,” was conducted by researcher Sarmad Ali Abbas and supervised by Professor Dr. Hussein Abbas Salman.
The main findings indicate that the induction of diabetes in male albino rats resulted in changes in the studied physiological and biochemical parameters. The plant extract demonstrated significant efficacy in improving physiological and histological parameters in male albino rats treated with the alcoholic and nano-extracts of *Portulaca oleracea*.
