Improving Wall Insulation and Reducing Heat Gain in Buildings; A Master’s Thesis.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, discussed a Master’s thesis entitled “A Process for Improving Wall Insulation and Reducing Heat Gain in Buildings Using a New Floor or Block Model” by researcher Ahmed Nasser Kadhim, supervised by Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul and Assis.Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Faisal Abdul Sada.

The thesis aimed to develop, produce, and test an innovative self-shading concrete block incorporating air cavities within the block and a shading fin on its outer surface in a single building block.

The study included three case studies; In the first case (the misleading pattern included a triangular projection with its base extending from the center of the block upwards) (C) 7, while the second case (without misleading) and the third case are the common patterns in the market.
