Professor Dr. Jaafar Al-Jawdhari participated in the periodic international scientific conference held by the British Near Eastern Archaeology Association (BANEA) at University College London (UCL). He presented his research paper entitled “Decolonizing Iraqi Cultural Heritage.” He also delivered several lectures at Durham, Oxford, and Leicester Universities on mechanisms for documenting heritage during periods of war.

Discussions also focused on opening avenues for scientific and research cooperation with international institutions and universities concerned with archaeology and heritage, working towards publishing joint research in reputable international journals, exchanging scientific expertise, and working towards future participation in conferences and workshops.

Furthermore, the importance of participating in international scientific events and conferences was discussed, along with encouraging Iraqi students to gradually master the English language, given its significant impact on obtaining study opportunities and invitations to participate in international events.
