Al-Qadisiyah University Participates in the Photography Festival (Students) with 47 Iraqi Public and Private Universities


Al-Qadisiyah University participated in the Photography Festival (Students) with wide participation from Iraqi university students. The festival featured 47 participants showcasing their creative work in free-form photography, representing both public and private universities.

The festival was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and supervised by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. The Student Activities Department/Artistic Activities Division was responsible for preparation and organization, and the event was hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University.

Our university’s delegation was headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Zainab Nouri Dawood, Head of the Artistic Activities Division, and included Mr. Mahdi Dakhel Mahdi from the College of Science as supervisor, and students Murtadha Hassan Abdul Kadhim from the College of Science and Zahraa Alaa Ta’ma from the College of Education for Women.

The festival aims to support young talent in the field of photography, encouraging students to express their ideas and address societal issues through the language of images, as well as creating a competitive environment that contributes to developing their artistic and creative skills.

The first part of the festival involved students taking free-form photographs with their mobile phones in the ancient city of Babylon. The second part included students taking photographs using their personal cameras in the same location, as well as in the gardens of Babylon.
