The workshop aimed to enable participants to understand the scientific effects of narcotics and apply this understanding to the interpretation of biological evidence and the accurate assessment of behavior and criminal responsibility. The workshop also covered the acute and chronic physiological effects of narcotics on the nervous system and vital organs, and their relationship to behavioral changes and the results of toxicological analyses in criminal investigations.
