College of Science, at Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a training course entitled “The Relationship Between Nutrition, the Environment, and Human Health.” The course was presented by Assistant Lecturers Khamael Abdul Salam Abd Halwas and Noura Riyadh Jaber.
The course aimed to clarify the impact of nutritional deficiencies or excesses on disease development, explain the role of environmental factors such as air, water, and soil pollution in disease spread, and raise awareness of the importance of a healthy, balanced diet in disease prevention.
Key recommendations included disseminating awareness about the importance of a healthy and balanced diet for maintaining human health, encouraging the consumption of natural foods rich in vitamins and minerals, avoiding processed foods, and reducing environmental pollution due to its direct impact on human health.
