The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized a specialized training course entitled “Nanotechnology in Refrigeration Systems: Between Compressive and Absorbent Systems.” The course was held in the Continuing Education Hall and presented by Eng. Iman Shaker, Asst. Lec. Dalia Shaker Qaid
The course aimed to familiarize engineering staff and students with the latest global developments in materials science and its mechanical applications, and to open new horizons for academic scientific research that bridges theoretical aspects with evolving industrial needs.
It also included a comprehensive review of integrating nanotechnology into modern refrigeration systems, focusing on improving thermal performance and how to use nanofluids to increase heat transfer efficiency within heat exchangers and compression refrigeration systems. The course also addressed the role of nanoparticles in improving lubricating oil properties and reducing energy consumption in compressors.
