A workshop titled “Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence” was held at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Al-Qadisiyah University, under the slogan “From Mesopotamia… Ideas Take Flight… Your Idea is Iraqi… Iraq Innovates.” The workshop was part of the Leadership and Innovation Week Festival (2025) and was presented by Dr. Alaa Ta’ima Abdul Kadhim and Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Mahdi. The workshop highlighted the close relationship between mathematics and artificial intelligence, the role of mathematics in developing AI, and how to utilize AI in solving mathematical problems. It concluded with a discussion of the ChatGPT program and its applications in solving mathematical problems.
The workshop also covered the close relationship between mathematics and artificial intelligence, the role of mathematics in developing AI, and how to utilize AI in solving mathematical problems. Additionally, it addressed ChatGPT and its applications in solving mathematical problems through several key topics, including defining artificial intelligence, mathematics, and AI, websites and applications for solving mathematics using AI, and the relationship between mathematics and ChatGPT. The workshop recommended integrating artificial intelligence concepts and applications in solving mathematical problems within university mathematics curricula, with a focus on the mathematical foundations upon which artificial intelligence algorithms are based.
