A Master’s thesis entitled “The Relationship Between Ethical Ideology and Employee Green Behavior within the Framework of Broken Windows Theory: An Analytical Study” was discussed in the Department of Business Administration at the College of Administration and Economics, Al-Qadisiyah University. The thesis was presented by researcher Hayam Hassan Mu’adhd Al-Awadi, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Amer Ali Hussein Al-Atwi and Professor Dr. Basim Abbas Kreidi Al-Jasmi.
The study aimed to identify the nature of the relationship between ethical ideology and employee green behavior within the framework of Broken Windows Theory. This was achieved by examining the direct and interactive relationship between ethical ideology and employee green behavior, with a focus on the impact of the work environment as a moderating variable capable of strengthening or weakening this relationship.
The results showed a statistically significant positive relationship between ideal ethical ideology and employee green behavior. Furthermore, the physical work environment significantly modifies the relationship between relative ethical ideology and employee green behavior in the banks included in the study sample. Based on these results, a number of conclusions and recommendations were formulated, the most important of which is the need for banks to pay attention to this issue. The research sample focused on providing a comfortable and organized physical work environment that suits the nature of the work and its objectives.
