The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Science organized a scientific seminar entitled “The Legal Framework and Discipline within Universities.” The seminar featured presentations by Professor Dr. Habib Wasil Kadhim, Dr. Nadia Baqir Hussein, Dr. Wael Fadhil Aziz, and Ms. Taif Madhar Muslim.

The seminar aimed to raise student awareness of the legal framework governing their conduct within the university by explaining the laws and regulations pertaining to student discipline and clarifying their rights and responsibilities.

Key recommendations included promoting a culture of dialogue and mutual respect on campus, involving students in awareness initiatives that enhance their role in maintaining a safe university environment, and prioritizing guidance and counseling before resorting to disciplinary measures whenever possible. ​
