The President of Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Dr. Rahi Kalaf Mahdi Al-Yasiri, inaugurated six scientific laboratories, the student club, and the faculty lounge at the College of Medicine after a comprehensive renovation campaign launched by the college to upgrade them to modern standards.
The inauguration ceremony, attended by the Dean of the College of Medicine, Professor Dr. Aqeel Rahim Al-Barqawi, his academic and administrative deputies, the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Asaad Al-Zaidy, a number of faculty members, and directors of administrative and academic departments at the university, included the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the newly renovated Physiology Laboratory, the Anatomy, Pathology, Chemistry, Microbiology, and Pharmacology Laboratories, the student club, and the faculty lounge, all equipped with state-of-the-art facilities from leading international manufacturers.
The University President also inspected other projects being implemented by the College of Medicine, including the Life Sciences Laboratory, administrative units, the perimeter wall, and the information desk, all of which are progressing rapidly towards completion in the near future.
In the same context, he honored Mr. Asaad Ghali Mohammed, the College Council Secretary and faculty representative, for his efforts on the procurement committee responsible for equipping the laboratories with furniture, monitors, cameras, and medical equipment. He also honored a group of construction companies involved in the building and renovation work.
