Honoring Ceremony.


The College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University held a ceremony to honor its achievement of first place in Iraq and its retention of its position among the top 800 universities worldwide, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. This ceremony is a culmination of the distinguished academic achievements of this generous college.

The ceremony was widely attended by faculty, staff, and students. It began with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and a recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah in memory of the martyrs of Iraq. This was followed by the playing of the Iraqi national anthem. The opening address was delivered by the Dean of the College, Professor Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Khalidi, who emphasized that this achievement is the fruit of dedication and tireless work, emphasizing that this distinction is a starting point toward greater international recognition. The audience also listened to a speech by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Haitham Ali Badi. This was followed by a documentary film telling the story of “Engineering Excellence: The College of Engineering Ranks First in the World in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings,” highlighting the efforts and standards that have qualified the college for this advanced position.
The ceremony concluded with the honoring of a select group of the college’s distinguished researchers and professors in recognition of their remarkable efforts and outstanding contributions, which have effectively contributed to raising the name of the college high in academic and international forums. The University President also presented certificates of appreciation and gratitude to the recipients, emphasizing continued support for all efforts that enhance the status of Al-Qadisiyah University both locally and internationally.

This celebration is a significant indicator of the College of Engineering and Al-Qadisiyah University’s determination to continue advancing the level of education and scientific research to become among the leading universities in the world.
