The College of Pharmacy at Al-Qadisiyah University holds a seminar on coronary artery disease. Assis. Lec. Moataz Al-Sabah lectured.
The seminar included an overview of the distribution of coronary arteries, how they supply the heart muscle with blood, how they become blocked, the role of high cholesterol concentrations in this blockage, and the difference between angina pectoris and myocardial infarction.
The seminar also addressed the health policies required to prevent coronary artery disease, including early detection of high cholesterol at an early age, screening for high blood pressure, adopting a healthy lifestyle, and combating smoking.
