Al-Qadisiyah University Shines Globally; A new scientific achievement.


The University of Al-Qadisiyah has achieved a new scientific achievement with the confirmation of the inclusion of four of its professors in the prestigious list of the top 2% of the world’s most influential researchers for the year 2025, announced by the international publishing house Elsevier.

The honored researchers are Professor Dr. Khaled Jawad Al-Adly from the College of Science and Professor Dr. Khaled Abdul-Hussein Jubair from the College of Engineering, who joined the list based on the latest update that measures researchers’ scientific influence through citation rates for their published works, highlighting the quality of their scientific research. Assistant Professor Dr. Saif Imad Akobi from the College of Engineering was also honored for his excellence and inclusion on this list for the third consecutive year in the field of geotechnical engineering, confirming his prestigious position and outstanding contributions internationally. Dr. Zaid Hazem Jabbar, also from the College of Engineering, was listed based on precise indicators, including total research citations and the Hirsch coefficient (h\text{-index}), in recognition of his efforts in the field of environmental engineering and sustainable energy.

This collective achievement is a culmination of the ongoing efforts of researchers and a clear demonstration of the quality of scientific research provided by the College of Engineering at Al-Qadisiyah University. This enhances the university’s standing and highlights Iraqi excellence in international academic forums, especially since the list includes only (277) Iraqi researchers.
