A workshop was held by the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Dentistry, it was entitled “The Importance of Administrative and Legal Amendments Aimed at Guaranteeing Women’s Rights at Work.” Presented by M.M. Nour Jalawi Jabbar and Ms. Diyar Farhan Murad, the workshop aimed to highlight the most prominent challenges and obstacles facing women in the labor market and how they can be addressed through policies and legislation. It also aimed to clarify the positive impact of these amendments on the stability of the work environment and increased productivity and job satisfaction.

The workshop recommended developing and updating laws to align with international standards regarding women’s rights at work, activating complaints and grievance mechanisms within institutions in a safe and confidential manner that guarantees women’s rights without fear of retaliation or dismissal, and supporting and empowering women to reach leadership and decision-making positions in the workplace.
