Scientific workshop in College of Agriculture: “Geographical distribution of desertification manifestations and their impact on agricultural areas in Al-Qadisiyah city”.”

The workshop aimed to clarify the concept of desertification, its degrees, and its manifestations, as desertification constitutes a major problem as a result of a group of natural and human factors.
The workshop recommends the need to identify desertified lands and invest in groundwater resources, use modern irrigation methods to rationalise water and exploit the huge water reserves, combat logging and overgrazing, afforestate degraded areas of forests, reclaim pastures through afforestation
