The College of Engineering holds a scientific workshop entitled “Managing hazardous waste and using it as a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution in constructing semi-flexible paving”

The workshop aimed to identify the types of traditional paving and compare them with semi-flexible paving, methods for producing porous asphalt mixtures, the most important tests used for sample numbers, in addition to describing the injection materials and their benefits and the most important tests that are performed on them.
The workshop recommended developing sustainable paving through recycling hazardous waste and urging students and researchers to apply practical experiments to recycle this waste in order to create environmentally friendly roads that last longer, provide comfortable driving, and require less maintenance.
