The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Dentistry, Al-Qadisiyah University, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Fundamentals of Infection Control in Dental Clinics.” The workshop was presented by dental trainees Zahraa Hassan Jassim, Fatima Ahmed Sahib, and Zainab Razzaq Abdullah.

The workshop aimed to enhance dental students’ awareness of the importance of applying infection control principles within dental clinics and to raise their level of commitment to occupational safety procedures and the protection of patients and medical staff.

The workshop concluded with several recommendations, including emphasizing the continuous adherence to infection control procedures within teaching clinics, promoting a culture of occupational safety among dental students, and implementing correct procedures for sterilization, disinfection, and disposal of medical waste.
