 A lecturer from the College of Science at Al-Qadisiyah University participated in an international science exhibition.

Assistant Professor Dr. Zahida Miran Hussain won the silver medal at the 11th International Invention Exhibition (IEI 2025) and the Belt and Road and BRICS Skills and Innovation Competition (BRBC 2025), sponsored by the China Invention Association (CAI). Her patent, “A Novel Technology for Inducing and Treating Diabetes in Pregnancy Using Celery Butanolic Extract and Its Effects on Mothers and Their Fetuses, and Molecular Characterization and Gene Expression of Related Genes,” was presented.

The exhibition brought together leading innovators from more than 30 countries and regions, showcasing more than 2,000 pioneering inventions and technological solutions. The active participation of the International Federation of Inventors (IFIA), the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the CAI Institute, government representatives, and inventors from around the world highlights the growing importance of international cooperation in driving technological progress and sustainable development.
