The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asadi, and discussed a number of joint issues, most notably the project of the Supreme Coordination Council for Training and Technical Education.

During a joint press conference, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed his close monitoring of the requirements of the groups covered by the social welfare grant and the decision to reduce tuition fees by 50% at public and private universities.

The Minister of Education announced his approval of a 100% exemption for people with disabilities from tuition fees and directed the relevant departments to provide all necessary facilities to enable these groups to continue their academic journeys and achieve their academic aspirations at Iraqi universities.

For his part, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Al-Asadi, expressed his sincere thanks for the integration between the two ministries, stressing that this cooperation serves the public interest and enhances the response to the needs of all segments of society, especially those covered by the Social Welfare Law.
