The thesis aimed to produce green zinc and nickel nanoparticles using clove extract as a reducing agent. The study included evaluating the effectiveness of these nanoparticles, along with the extract, against the L. donvani parasite, the cause of visceral leishmaniasis.
The results demonstrated the effectiveness of these particles, along with the extract, in inhibiting the growth of the parasitic promastigote under laboratory conditions. When comparing the effectiveness of these nanoparticles with the extract, it was found that the clove extract was superior against the parasite.
