The Civil Defense, Chemical Safety and Security Unit organized a scientific course (Safety in Laboratories and Engineering Workshops)

The course aimed to provide safety procedures in laboratories and create a work environment free of risks. The course also introduced the effectiveness of occupational safety and health procedures for laboratory workers. those are the most exposed to risks when handling hazardous materials, whether they are liquid, gaseous, solid, or radioactive. Failure to take preventive measures during work can result from improper handling of these devices or chemicals, which can be attributed to various factors such as laboratory space, material density, insufficient lighting, inadequate ventilation, high temperature in the laboratory environment, and overcrowding number of students in laboratories.
