A teaching staff member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science at Al-Qadisiyah University, Professor Miqdad Erhim Kazem, Ph.D has published a scientific research in the international scientific journal (AIP Proceedings) classified in the Scopus database.

       The title of the research is “the Preparation and Spectroscopic and Biological Study of Some Derivatives (beta-lactams and oxazine imidazole) associated with a heterogeneous nucleus”. Preparation, the spectroscopic and biological study of some derivatives of (β-lactam, oxazepine, and imidazole) linked to a heterocyclic nucleus.

       The research aims at preparing new pharmaceutical compounds, such as beta-lactam derivatives, imidazole, and oxazepine, which are linked to a heterocyclic nucleus, and studying their spectral structure using nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy.

       The research has come up with that these compounds show a biological activity against various types of antibiotic-resistant bacterial strains
