The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of Objective Marking Review (OMR) reports, which summarize the important statistical information in the results of each exam. The workshop also demonstrated that the statistical information contained in these reports is of great importance in the field of exam quality assessment, as reviewing and analyzing this information enables an objective and scientific assessment of the questions used, such as difficulty levels, standard deviation, and other information.
The workshop recommended the necessity of implementing a policy of collecting and analyzing these reports by subcommittees in all academic disciplines and sending them to the college’s Exam Quality Assurance Committee for evaluation, determining results, diagnosing errors, and proposing appropriate solutions. This ensures continuous improvement in the quality and scientific nature of the questions, achieving the best results and achieving the desired educational goals.
