About the University
Al-Qadisiyah University was established in 1987 with two faculties, the College of Education and the College of Administration and Economics. In the second academic year, the College of Arts was opened. Soon, other colleges were opened in the center of Al-Qadisiyah Governorate, as well as the center of Wasit and Al-Muthanna Governorates. Among these colleges, what became the nucleus of an independent university, the University of Wasit. And later another university in Samawah under the name of Al-Muthanna University. Over the years of its life, its faculties increased, its departments were completed, its laboratories developed, and its faculties today include Education, Administration and Economics, Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Medicine, Physical Education, Science, Computer Science and Mathematics, Agriculture, Law, Engineering, Education Girls, pharmacy, nursing…more

In the name of the educational and administrative staff at Al-Qadisiyah University, I congratulate our honorable students for their graduation for the past year. Let us welcome the new year with an auspicious return to attendance, which restores the academic scene to its realistic splendor and effectiveness with serious participation in creating a future full of knowledge and glory. At a time when our University of Glory crowned its annual march with its thirty-fifth anniversary of the establishment of its sober scientific edifice last year… We would like to remind you that this great edifice would not have reached this lofty status had it not been for the efforts of the pioneering professors, the living among them, and the departed beside their Lord, leaders, professors, and associates.
