The Department of Economics at the College of Administration and Economics, Al-Qadisiyah University, reviewed a Master’s thesis entitled “The Role of Renewable Energy in Achieving Sustainable Economic Growth and Reducing Environmental Impact in Iraq: An Econometric Study.” The thesis was presented by researcher Ali Hussein Mohammed and supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Alaa Abbas Dakhel.<\/p>\n
The study aimed to analyze the state of renewable energy in Iraq for the period 2000-2024 and measure its contribution to the Iraqi economy by analyzing the relationship between renewable energy and sustainable economic growth.<\/p>\n
The study employed modern research methods such as the static test, cointegration test, and error correction model testing to measure and estimate the relationship between renewable energy and sustainable economic growth using the ARDL model. This model demonstrates the extent of renewable energy’s contribution to the Iraqi economy and its environmental impact.<\/p>\n
The study recommended several measures, most notably the need to expand funding and investment in the renewable energy sector, enhance spending on scientific research and development to find technological and economic solutions that suit the realities of the Iraqi economy, and prioritize environmental sustainability standards when preparing development and investment plans for renewable energy projects.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
