The thesis, titled “Design and Development of a Multi-Antigen mRNA Vaccine Targeting the HN,F Protein Against Newcastle Disease,” was presented by researcher Asmaa Abdul Hussein Sharshouh and supervised by Professor Dr. Nafie Subaih Jassim.<\/p>\n
The thesis involved the preparation of a new vaccine, the first of its kind in Iraq, against a significant disease that causes substantial economic losses. The researcher developed the vaccine in two phases: the first phase using computer technology, and the second phase comparing the prepared vaccine with existing commercial and international vaccines.<\/p>\n
The vaccine outperformed all other vaccines in terms of immunogenicity.<\/p>\n
The study concluded that the experimental multi-epithelial vaccine demonstrated a clear ability to stimulate humoral and cellular immune responses in broiler chickens, as evidenced by the high levels of antibodies against the F fusion protein of the Newcastle disease virus.<\/p>\n
