In a new academic achievement that enhances Al-Qadisiyah University’s international presence, the scientific proposal entitled \u201cEnhancing International Visibility of Iraqi Journals through Editorial Reform\u201d has been accepted for participation in the scientific program of the Elsevier Impact Conference 2026, which will be held in Madrid, Spain, from November 3 to 5, 2026.<\/p>\n
The proposal, submitted by Professor Dr. Abbas Sabbar, Editor-in-Chief of Al-Qadisiyah Medical Journal and Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department at Al-Qadisiyah University, and Professor Dr. Ibrahim Abdulmajid Al-Tamimi, Director of the Editorial Board of Al-Qadisiyah Medical Journal and Head of the Microbiology Branch at the College of Medicine, Al-Qadisiyah University, was accepted after passing the scientific evaluation process conducted by the conference’s scientific committee. It will be among the selected presentations in the official conference program.<\/p>\n
The scientific presentation will address the experience of developing Iraqi scientific journals through reforming editorial policies and practices, mechanisms for enhancing the quality of scientific publications, and raising the international profile of Iraqi journals. This will contribute to expanding their indexing opportunities in global databases and increasing their academic impact.<\/p>\n
