A Master’s thesis in the Department of Life Sciences at the College of Education, Al-Qadisiyah University, entitled “A Study of Polymorphisms in the Gene Encoding Interleukin-1 in Toxic Shock Syndrome in Staphylococcus Aureus in Burn Patients,” was conducted by researcher Ahmed Madhboob Taher and supervised by Professor Dr. Rana Saleh Al-Tawil.<\/p>\n
The thesis aimed to isolate and identify the bacteria associated with burn cases morphologically and genetically, investigate the gene for toxic shock syndrome, and determine the level of interleukin-1 alpha in burn patients.<\/p>\n
The most important conclusions of the study confirm that Staphylococcus aureus is the primary bacterial pathogen in burn injuries, with a very high percentage of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) strains. A correlation was also found between the morphological detection of methicillin resistance and the molecular detection of the gene encoding this resistance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
