{"id":3566,"date":"2025-10-18T22:54:23","date_gmt":"2025-10-18T19:54:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.qu.edu.iq\/?p=3566"},"modified":"2025-10-18T22:54:23","modified_gmt":"2025-10-18T19:54:23","slug":"evaluation-of-enzymes-and-inflammatory-markers-as-predictors-of-cardiovascular-disease-a-masters-thesis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.qu.edu.iq\/?p=3566","title":{"rendered":"Evaluation of enzymes and inflammatory markers as predictors of cardiovascular disease; A master&#8217;s thesis."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A master&#8217;s thesis from the Chemistry Department at the College of Education at Al-Qadisiyah University, titled &#8220;Evaluation of Enzymes and Inflammatory Markers as Predictors of Cardiovascular Disease,&#8221; was conducted by researcher Radhab Kazim Abdul Hassan and supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Sundus Karim Hamza.<br \/>\nThe thesis aimed to evaluate levels of MMP-9, MPo, CRP, and 1L-6 in patients with cardiovascular disease.\u00a0 The correlation between MMP-9, MPo, CRP, and 1L-6 levels in healthy subjects and patients with cardiovascular disease (CVD) is also being investigated. This study focuses on new strategies based on the sensitivity and specificity of these biochemical markers to predict CVD risk.<br \/>\nMain conclusions: C-reactive protein (CRP) is a reliable indicator of CVD, as its levels remain significantly elevated in patients with CVD compared to healthy subjects. Furthermore, MMP-9 and MPo levels are significantly elevated in patients with CVD compared to healthy subjects, as both levels are higher in patients.<br \/>\nMain recommendations: Future studies should be conducted with a larger sample size to obtain more accurate results.
