A doctoral thesis."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Medical Microbiology at the College of Medicine at Al-Qadisiyah University discussed the doctoral thesis by researcher Salam Alawi Hassan and supervised by Prof. Dr. Oras Madi Shahid<br \/>\nThe thesis aimed to understand the role of interleukins (IL-1\u03b2, IL-6, IL-10, and IL-35) in type 1 diabetes and to identify the HLA-DR patterns (HLA-DR3, HLA-DR4, HLA-DRB5, and HLA-DR7) associated with this disease in Muthanna Governorate, Iraq.<br \/>\nThe thesis also included a comparative study of children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes, with the aim of analyzing and comparing their clinical and immunological characteristics to better understand the factors associated with the disease.<br \/>\nThe thesis recommended the development of a new therapeutic strategy for type 1 diabetes based on controlling interleukins, particularly IL-1\u03b2, IL-10, IL-6, and IL-35.
